Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Your data is yours. This Privacy Policy explains what Optra ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and the control you have over it — in plain language.
1. What we collect
- Account data — name, email, phone number, and delivery addresses you provide.
- Transaction data — orders, bookings, stays, and payment records (we never store full card numbers; payments are handled by accredited payment processors).
- Seller verification data — identity and business documents required to verify sellers and hosts.
- Usage data — device and app interaction data used to keep the Platform secure and improve it.
- Location data — only when you grant permission, to show nearby shops, services, and stays, and to coordinate delivery.
2. How we use it
- To operate the marketplace: process orders, bookings, payments, payouts, and deliveries.
- To keep the Platform safe: verification, fraud prevention, and enforcing our Terms.
- To improve the product and, with your consent, send you relevant updates.
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your data with third parties beyond what is needed to operate the service (payment processing, delivery, cloud hosting) or as required by law.
4. Your control
- Access & correction — view and edit your data in the app at any time.
- Deletion — delete your account and the personal data that goes with it, anytime, directly in the app. Transaction records we are legally required to keep are retained in anonymized form.
- Consent — withdraw marketing and location permissions whenever you like.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our systems are access-controlled, rate-limited, and independently security-tested. No platform can promise perfect security, but we treat yours like it's ours.
6. Data residency & law
Optra operates in the United States and complies with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA). Your data is processed and stored in the United States, protected by contractual and technical safeguards.
7. Children
Optra is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
We will notify you of material changes to this policy through the app or by email before they take effect.
